Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has supported the campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he requested the countrymen to burn the lamp for 9 minutes on 5 April i.e. 9 pm tonight. Virat wrote while tagging PM Modi on Twitter – The power of the stadium is from his fans. The spirit of India is from its people. Tonight at 9 o’clock 9 minutes … Let’s show the world, we stand together.

He also pointed to the doctors, policemen and all those warriors who are fighting the Corona virus and wrote – Let us show our health warriors, we are standing with them. Team India – Ignite. Please tell PM Modi in the video address that the lights of your houses should be turned off for nine minutes at nine o’clock on the night of April 5 (Sunday) and in the meantime, light the lights on the doors of your houses or on the balcony.

Earlier, big cricketers like Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul and Jaspreet Bumrah had appealed to follow PM’s message. Apart from him, many other cricketers including Indian team coach Ravi Shastri and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh have also asked Corona to join the PM in the battle.
