All the training camps of Sports Authority of India (SAI) will be postponed till May 3. The decision was taken after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown to prevent the Kovid-19 pandemic.
Sai sources told PTI on Tuesday after the Prime Minister’s address to the nation, “All the Sai camps were postponed until April 14 due to the lockdown. We were considering to decide further after April 14, but now that the lockdown has been extended, the camps will also be postponed till May 3. ‘
Players like spear throw star athlete Neeraj Chopra will be allowed to stay in Sai hostels. Chopra is in NIS Patiala after returning from Turkey last month.
Sources said, “Players who are in Sai Bengaluru and Patiala will stay the same as before.” The deadly corona virus spread from China has killed more than 300 people in India, while more than 10,000 people were found infected. Huh.
