On 2 April 2011, India won the World Cup title by defeating Sri Lanka under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. After this title win, India became the World Champion for the second time in ODI format. In a recent TV show, Harbhajan Singh shared one of his memorable moments associated with this World Cup victory with the fans.
Harbhajan said, ‘It was such a thing, which we all dreamed together, it was just fulfilled and the feeling of it was wonderful. Whenever I think of those moments, butterflies still fly in my mind. It is indeed very special to lift the World Cup and this will probably be the first time I have wept in front of everyone. It was a tremendous feeling, I did not know how to react to it. ‘
Bhajji told, ‘I still remember that I was sleeping with my medal that night, when I woke up, my medal was on me and it was feeling very good. That day I saw Sachin Tendulkar dancing. This was the first time I saw Sachin dancing. Then I saw that Sachin Tendulkar is dancing irrespective of the people around him and he is enjoying with everyone. I will always remember it.
