Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has decided to auction his bat to help in the battle against Kovid-19 in the country. This is the same bat from which Rahim scored a double century against Sri Lanka in 2013.
Rahim told a Bangladeshi newspaper, “I will auction my bat with which I hit a double century.”
He said, ‘I’ll put it up for online auction, and let’s see how the thing progresses. I request everyone to bid as much as possible for this bat as the income generated from it will be spent to help the poor people. ‘
The number of people with corona virus in Bangladesh has overtaken since 2000. Last week, star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan also requested fellow players to auction their equipment and jerseys to help the poor.
Earlier, England wicket-keeper batsman Jose Butler had auctioned his World Cup final tshirt for 65 thousand British pounds.
