- World Cup is different, I want it to be organized this year: Cummins
- KKR bought Pat Cummins in IPL for Rs 15.5 crore this year
- Cummins said – My priority over T20 World Cup over IPL
Like other sports around the world due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, cricket tournaments are also uncertain. In such a situation, Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins has made the T20 World Cup a priority over the Indian Premier League (IPL). Cummins sincerely wishes that his country will host the tournament later this year.
Cummins is one of the most expensive foreign players in the IPL. In the previous auction, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought him a hefty price of Rs 15.50 crore. Cummins told the Australian Associated Press, “In the last two-three years we have talked about the T20 World Cup. The World Cup (ODI) 2015 holds special significance in my career, even though I did not play in the final. I want this tournament (T20 World Cup) to be organized.
He said, ‘This is probably the biggest tournament of this year in international cricket. I want everything to go right and this tournament is organized. If I were really greedy, I would love to organize IPL too.
There is uncertainty about the conduct of the IPL. It was postponed until April 15, but due to the continued growth of the corona virus globally, this rich league is unlikely to be held at the moment.
Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen suggested that the IPL should start the cricket season. The T20 World Cup is to be held in Australia in October-November.
