The Indian team’s head coach and former cricketer Ravi Shastri has shared some of his old memories on Twitter. On his Twitter account, Shastri has shared two pictures of himself with two West Indian legend Sir Vival Richards and Melcolm Marshall. In his tweet, the Indian coach wrote the full names of these two West Indian players and described his time spent with them as good luck and honor.
Ravi Shastri captioned these two photos, ‘In the arms of the brothers. The veterans against whom I played. Shastri further wrote, “With Malcolm Denzil Marshall and Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richard – good luck and honor.”
Sir Vivian Richards is counted among the great personalities of cricket. The legendary batsman played 121 Tests and 187 ODIs for the West Indies. He has a total of 8540 runs in Test cricket at an average of 50.23. Richard was famous in the olden era for beleaguered and explosive batting. He has 24 Test centuries and 45 Fifties. Apart from this, he also scored 11 times in ODIs.
In addition to Sir Vivian Richards, the next picture with Shastri is Malcolm Marshall. Malcolm Marshall was considered the deadliest bowler of his time. He was considered an expert in getting wickets on any wicket. He has 376 wickets in 81 Tests, while this former veteran, who played 136 ODIs, has 157 victims in this format.
