The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will conduct fitness tests through video links of more than 200 of its players living at home due to the lockdown. During this time he will also have to undergo a yo-yo test. The PCB has decided to keep its contracted players physically fit during the Kovid-19 epidemic.
According to ESPNcricinfo’s report, the fitness test will be done on April 20 and 21. Like other countries around the world due to Corona virus, cricket has been stalled in Pakistan since 15 March. In such a situation, Pakistan is taking measures regarding the fitness of its players.
Pakistan coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq and team trainer Yasir Malik have written letters to all the players and informed them about the fitness test. “Despite all the limitations and limited resources, we have made this new plan for fitness, in which everyone will get equal opportunity,” the letter said.
It says, ‘You have been informed long ago so that you prepare yourself mentally and physically for this. All the tests will be done by the trainer of your team through video link.
According to this, ‘to maintain your fitness level you need to be disciplined and work hard’. Centrally contracted players will give fitness tests in front of the chief trainer of the national team while the provincial players in front of their states trainer.
The test includes 60 push ups in one minute, 50 sit ups in one minute, ten chin ups in one minute, and a Level 18 Yo-Yo test.
